Weekly Photo Project: Amelia’s First Year Photo Album

As I mentioned in this post, my baby girl, Amelia, is turning two on September first. I can’t even believe it. I feel like I just brought her home from the hospital, but in the last two years, she’s become a big sister who can feed herself, walk, run, climb stairs, ask to go outside (100 times per day), and kiss me night-night.

I’ve always been a photo-hoarder. I have probably 50,000 photos saved on my various devices from the past eight years that I’ve been with my husband, and tons of prints in various albums. Now that it’s 2020, I’ve upgraded how I print and display my favorite photos (well, I started doing this a few years ago) by making photo books. I’ve used lots of sites for making photo books in the past few years, but my absolute favorite is Mpix.

Make sure you make it to the bottom of this post for a 25% off discount code for a single Mpix purchase!

Mpix happy-mail!

Mpix has a really user-friendly website that enables you to create beautiful photo prints, cards, products and photo books, that’s easy for non-professional photographers like myself. Their products are such high quality and the result is always stunning. When we had 700+ photos from our wedding, I was so torn on where to print them into a wedding album, as I wanted the album to be as classic and beautiful as our wedding day, and Mpix did not disappoint! After seeing my album, my sister had hers created through Mpix, too!

When I started thinking about printing a photo book to document Amelia’s first year of life, I knew exactly where to turn. Mpix made it so easy to create yet another gorgeous product that I could cherish forever. The only hard part was choosing which of my precious photos to include!

Check out the final result.

I can’t stress enough how glad I am that I did this… so much so that I’m doing it again with Adeline! While it’s never easy to see the time flying by as your little one grows up before your eyes, knowing I’ll always have these days, weeks and months documented to look back on helps just a little.

Babies don’t keep, y’all – you don’t want to forget one moment!
